Once in a Blue Room (blue/periwinkle)

OK, strictly speaking the room is actually periwinkle, but do you know how hard it is to find a slogan that words with the word "periwinkle?" Amy Bell, our inspired decorating guru, is also the ultimate punster (tying for first place with Linda's husband Victor) and she came up with this clever moniker to describe a room that is a rare experience indeed.

Not only does this huge room have three extra long, pillowtop twin beds, but it's also the home of the Magical Midnight Massage room AND a sky deck that will absolutely dazzle you (after you get over that fear-of-heights thing).

There’s a little Laura Ashley on the beds with sprigs of lavender and blue (periwinkle?) flowers and the silliest yellow duck you’ve ever seen, perched on top. We’ve even sprung for a breakfast-in-bed wicker bed tray (just in case one of you feels ambitious - not us though!).

The yellow stripes on the cornices are echoed in a flowing curtain that give privacy to the third bed tucked into the bookcase niche.

This was originally the master bedroom, now officially renamed the mistress bedroom. That means it has a private bath and a second vanity and sink, as well.

The closet has become, well, it’s a secret til you see it, but it won’t hold as many hangers as your closet at home. It’s worth the trade off, trust me.

As with every bedroom, Once in a Blue Room has powerful hair dryer, atomic clocks by each bed and a desk with swivel chair (this one designed for computers but remember you are on retreat!).

Three people can sleep comfortably in this spacious room!
